Qixi Festival (七夕节/七夕節), also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, falls on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month. It celebrates the annual meeting of the Cowherd (Niulang) and the Weaver Girl (Zhinü) in Chinese mythology.
Traditional activities include praying for skills in needlework, making offerings to Zhinü, and stargazing for the stars Altair and Vega across the Milky Way.
